At the school, he meets Rohan Nanda (Varun Dhawan), the son of a business tycoon. Despite their different backgrounds and attitudes, the two become the best of friends. As the film proceeds, Abhi naively falls in love with Shanaya Singhania (Alia Bhatt), disregarding the fact that her boyfriend Rohan is his friend.
